Biodiversity Heritage Library

The BHL has released 150,000 Botanical and Animal Illustrations for unrestricted use and free download. They work with a consortium of natural history, botanical, and research libraries around the world to digitize and make their collections accessible as a part of a global “biodiversity commons.”

New York Public Library

More than 180,000 of the items in their Digital Collections are in the public domain

The New York Metropolitan Museum of Art

375,000 Artworks are in the public domain for unrestricted use

Paris Musées

The Paris Musées has releases 100,000 Images into the public domain for unrestricted use

Rijksmuseum Amsterdam

Many of the artworks on display in the Rijksmuseum can be downloaded for free in the Rijksstudio
